Application Engineer

Application Engineer

Founded in 2005, DevonWay is a software company based in San Francisco, California, with offices in Salt Lake City, Utah and Portland, Oregon. We hire the brightest talent we can find and challenge them to delight our customers and use their best judgement: our only two rules.

We use our internally developed cloud computing platform, YourWay™, to build web-based, rules-driven, workflow-centric applications for customers in many industries.

The successful candidate will have the ability to excel in a fast-paced technical environment, be a quick-learner, have a solid understanding of the application development lifecycle, enjoy technical challenges, and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.

The Account Services Department is the key intersection between DevonWay technology and our customers. Application Engineers work directly with customers to gather requirements, design solutions, and then configure and deliver applications. A critical component of this process is to meet with the customers to gain an understanding of their business needs and the business processes they would like to automate using DevonWay software.
The main deliverable from an Application Engineer is a high-quality, reliable, and easy-to-use application that meets the customer’s needs. By using the DevonWay YourWay platform these applications can be built without having knowledge of specific programming languages, like Java. Application configuration, however, does require advanced technical skills. Depending on the size and scope of the project, the Application Engineer may also fill the role of Project Manager. All Application Engineers also assist in providing technical support to all existing customers.
