Chief Technology Officer
Steve Johnson supplies DevonWay's technological vision serving as the firms' Chief Technology Officer. The office of CTO provides internal assistance to Product Development groups and external assistance to customers who seek business advantage through software.
Steve was on the founding DevonWay team that formed the YourWay platform around business needs for new awareness and action. He deeply understands the ever changing need for intelligent use of data and you see this reflected in DevonWay technology. Steve was also a driver behind DevonWay's multitenant architecture, cloud computing environment, and unique application configuration model. Each serves an important role in DevonWay's mission to put agile software in customer hands quickly.
As an application designer Steve helped define many products that are in production at nuclear power stations today. He was principle designer of ActionWay, the firm's Corrective Action Program modules, and ExperienceWay, a means to learn from the experiences of others. Steve also invented DashWay, DevonWay's solution for integrating metrics into everyday business life.
Before he joined DevonWay, Steve served as the Chief Operating Officer at PCX Systems, a medical software subsidiary of Cedars Sinai Hospital. He was in application software development at Oracle Corporation. Early on in his career, Steve was a hardware designer for air defense systems at Westinghouse. Steve has developed software while living in many places around the world including Jordan in the Middle East and Brazil.
Steve received his BS in Electrical Engineering at Michigan Technological University, and his MBA from University of Minnesota.
