DevonWay enables KPI trending across the Utilities Service Alliance virtual fleet

San Diego, Utilities Service Alliance Supply Chain Conference – (BUSINESS WIRE) – DevonWay, Inc. today announced an expansion of its DashWay™ KPI solution used by member nuclear stations comprising the Utilities Service Alliance (USA). Under the terms of the agreement, the USA DashWay instance will expand from 26 monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to more than 140 monthly KPIs that measure and monitor station performance of participating USA members individually and across the fleet.

Addressing the challenges of gathering, accessing, and utilizing KPIs across a virtual fleet, Carl Parry, President and CEO of the Utilities Service Alliance said, “The timely and effective use of Key Performance Indicators has been a cornerstone of our industry’s process for continuous improvement for years. If our group of eight utilities operating 14 reactors is going to truly work as a fleet in regard to mutual performance improvement, it is essential that we have a system that will allow us to routinely collect and analyze KPI data in a way that minimizes impact on already busy station personnel. We are confident that between DashWay and our new web-based member collaboration center hosted by DevonWay, we have the tools we need for KPI data collection and analysis, from which we can create and manage specific performance improvement actions.”

DevonWay President and CEO Robert Felton added, “DashWay performance monitoring is a key component of DevonWay’s Solutions-as-a-Service for Continuous Improvement at nuclear power stations. We’re pleased to offer the same highly secure, high-quality solution that we provide to larger nuclear fleets, such as Entergy and First Energy, to the USA independent operators. Our hosted Solutions-as-a-Service model helps bring DevonWay Continuous Improvement capabilities to a broad audience efficiently and affordably without additional hardware, software or data center personnel at each participating station.”

DevonWay supplies its Continuous Improvement solutions at lowest total cost of ownership to USA members and to over 50% of the US nuclear power generating fleet. DevonWay’s Solutions-as-a-Service for USA membership and vendor/supplier community include: Supply Chain Library of recognized vendor/supplier offerings, Total Cost of Ownership system between member plants and suppliers, USA Fleet OE & Lessons Learned, Nuclear Safety Culture Assessment surveys, a Retiree Database of qualifications and expertise, the USA Fleet-wide KPI initiative and other applications.
