        5 Improvements to Email Notifications

        Featured Image

Task management is something we all deal with on a daily basis. Especially in highly regulated industries where quality and safety issues are raised often – I can only imagine how hard it is to keep track of everything.

No matter how you currently manage your tasks – whether you have an assignments tile on your DevonWay dashboard, have a saved report, or even keep a written to do list – having useful email notifications about your assignments is a great way to help stay on top of them. And by useful, I mean the most important details are right there in the alert. What are your tasks? Why are you receiving them? When are they due and how critical are they?

That’s why we decided to make the assignment emails our users receive as useful as possible. Here’s what’s new:

        Purpose

Ever get an assignment, but don’t know what to do? We added a brief description of what needs to be done to complete the job. This information is configurable to your process, so there’s a bit of setup work that we’ll need to help you with.

        Big Picture

Ever wonder how big your to-do list is? Or how many assignments are overdue? These answers automatically populate and show up at the bottom of the email. Simply follow the link to see the tasks that make up each category.

        What & Why

We’ve made it clear why you’re receiving an assignment even when you receive a task as someone’s alternate.

        How

We added links that take you directly to the task details. We also modified the way the information is presented so it’s easier to digest.

        Reminders (coming soon!)

Soon we are rolling out the next phase which will automatically send a weekly reminder email summarizing all the tasks you have coming due or overdue. Say goodbye to manually creating reminder notifications.

If you’re not seeing these improved assignment emails or you need help configuring task descriptions, please contact us.
