INL’s legacy CAS system hadn’t been meeting the lab’s needs for quite some time, largely because hundreds of stand-alone computer applications, databases, spreadsheets, etc., were spread across the lab’s many Mission Centers (business units) throughout the vast facility. Critical data stored in the lab’s individual, unconnected silos was redundant, out of date, and out of sync.
Systems were hard to use and couldn't keep up with the lab's needs. Getting data and sharing information were too time-consuming and challenging, wasting time and money.
The Solution
Integrated DevonWay software for CAPA, CAS, and more, lab-wide
INL implemented DevonWay Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA), Non-Conformance Reporting, Audits & Assessments, Inspections, Lessons Learned, and more. Internally, INL calls their solution suite “LabWay.” All DevonWay applications in LabWay natively integrate with each other and are configured to meet the needs of individual business units. Because the DevonWay interface is intuitive, lab users are quick to learn it.

Greater usage, more issues reported and solved, improved compliance
